In the trailer for Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, the protagonist, Goro Majima, is introduced by voice actor Matthew Mercer. Many fans will recall that Mercer also voices Mad Dog. Known for appearing in numerous TV shows and video games such as Dragon Age: The Veilguard, The Legend of Vox Machina, Sonic X Shadow Generations, and more, Mercer gained significant recognition through his work with Critical Role.

This game focuses on the beloved character, Goro Majima, who finds himself amidst a contemporary pirate dispute. The story takes place chronologically after the events depicted in “Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
Unlike its predecessor, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii adopts the traditional real-time brawling gameplay that the series is recognized for. The character Majima will showcase two distinct combat styles – the nimble “Mad Dog” style and the swashbuckling “Sea Dog” style.
For the first time in this series, there will be battles taking place on the high seas! Players have the freedom to personalize their own vessel, traverse the ocean depths, and engage in combat with hostile ships.
On February 21, 2025, the game titled “Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii” will be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and personal computers.
