New Hunger Games Prequel Movie Casts 28 Years Later Star & 3 More

The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping has added four new cast members.

The upcoming movie titled “Sunrise on the Reaping,” which is a prequel to “The Hunger Games,” is based on Suzanne Collins’ novel of the same name and will hit theaters in 2026. Francis Lawrence directs this production, with Billy Ray handling the screenplay.

Meanwhile, Jax Guerrero is set to bring Tibby to life, Edvin Ryding will embody Vitus, and Sandra Förster will breathe life into Hersilia. Can’t wait to see this epic tale unfold!

Iris Apatow, the offspring of Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann, has graced the silver screen in films like Knocked Up (2007), Funny People (2009), This Is 40 (2012), Sausage Party (2016), The Bubble (2022), and Young Werther (2024). Additionally, she portrayed the character Georgia in Netflix’s Unstable.

Lately, Ryding has portrayed Erik in Danny Boyle’s film “28 Years Later,” and he is well recognized for his role as Prince Wilhelm in “Young Royals.” On the rise are the budding talents Förster and Guerrero.
