As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I must say that the early release of Dead By Daylight Chapter 34 PTB has brought a thrill I haven’t felt since the first time I discovered the secret cow level in Diablo. The prospect of exploring new content earlier than anticipated is always a delight that stirs up the gaming adrenaline, much like an unexpected encounter with a rare loot chest.

Steam players of Dead By Daylight can now delve into the Public Test Build (PTB) for Chapter 33, an unexpected treat that’s come earlier than anticipated but promises a delightful experience of fresh content ahead of schedule. Developer BeHaviour has unveiled the new survivor Taurie Cain’s perks in Dead By Daylight, and there’s a crucial update regarding the Chapter 34 release date that fans need to be aware of.

Initially slated for release on November 12th, BeHaviour unexpectedly unveiled the update and patch notes for version 8.4.0 as early as November 7th. This unexpected announcement not only detailed new perks for The Houndmaster killer but also shared updates about the latest changes in the game’s killer lineup for November. Furthermore, it informed players of upcoming alterations to the survivor’s Heads-Up Display (HUD).

The Houndmaster is a fantastic killer, and the best part is that you can actually pet her dog companion. While there’s no such petting for the new Dead By Daylight Chapter 34 survivor, the DBD perks for Taurie Cain are still exciting.

Below are the Taurie Cain survivor perks for Dead By Daylight Chapter 34:

Invocation: Treacherous Crows

  • When in the Basement near the circle, press the ability button 2 to begin the Invocation. Invocations take 60/60/60 seconds. Other Survivors will see your aura during this and can join an ongoing interaction. Once the Invocation is completed: Completing the Invocation disables that perk for all Survivors.
  • You become injured and broken for the rest of the trial.
  • When a Survivor is in the Terror Radius and the Killer scares a crow, their aura is revealed to all Survivors for 1/1.5/2 seconds.

Clean Break

  • After you finish healing another Survivor, while being healed by another Survivor, press the ability button 1 to become Broken.
  • After 80/70/60 seconds, you become healthy.

This advantage doesn’t kick in when you’re already damaged. It gets deactivated if you reach the point of no return (dying state).

Shoulder the Burden

  • Once per trial, as long as you are not on death hook, press the ability button 2 in front of a hooked Survivor to unhook them. When they are unhooked, they lose 1 hook state and you gain 1 hook state. You also scream and become Exposed for 30/25/20 seconds.

As a passionate gamer diving into the world of Dead by Daylight, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news! Contrary to previous expectations, we’re going to set sail on the Doomed Course a bit earlier than anticipated. The release date for Chapter 34 has been brought forward to November 28th! That’s right, the new original killer and survivor will make their debut this month instead of December as previously stated in the Year 9 roadmap. Can’t wait to see what chilling experiences await us on the Doomed Course!


As a gamer, I was initially excited that the DLC was set to drop on December 3rd, with the Public Test Build (PTB) scheduled for November 12th. However, it seems like the release date has been slightly advanced, and no reason has been given as to why. But, considering the upcoming return of 2v8 mode, it’s plausible that the PTB might have caused a conflict with it.

No matter what the cause may be, it’s beneficial that gamers can experience Chapter 34 ahead of schedule. Additionally, there will still be ample fun to be had during the holiday season since December consistently features the Bone Chill event, which offers daily login prizes and festive excitement.
