As a dedicated fan of Chinese dramas, I am absolutely thrilled about the upcoming week! With the premiere of Burning Love and Dawn is Breaking, it feels like the best of both worlds – romance and action – are coming together to keep me glued to my screen.

From August 21st to August 25th, 2024, Chinese drama enthusiasts have a lot to look forward to as highly anticipated shows such as Burning Love and Dawn Is Breaking are set to premiere. At the same time, fresh series like Love and Bid Farewell and Bank on Me will keep releasing new episodes. The screening of these series offers a diverse range of genres including costume, fantasy, romance, comedy, and more for viewers’ entertainment.

Burning Love

New Chinese Drama Episode Releases This Week (August 21-25, 2024)

On August 22, 2024, the Chinese drama “Burning Love” will make its debut. This gripping series follows Xie Lan Qin (played by Xu Jiaqi), who distances herself from her beloved Feng Yan (Li Zhuoyang) after a family crisis. In a bid for vengeance and justice, she takes a darker path. However, it is eventually revealed that Feng Yan has been shielding her all along, unwilling to abandon her. Recognizing her error, Xie Lan Qin promises to amend her ways and rekindle her past love.

The 24 episodes of the drama will be available to stream throughout the week on Sohu TV.

Dawn is Breaking

On August 20, 2024, the Chinese drama titled “Dawn is Breaking” was first aired. In this series, we follow the character Xie Wan Yin, portrayed by He Xuan Lin, who unwittingly stumbles upon a horrific murder on her wedding day. Unfortunately, her life takes a turn for the worse when Dongfang Zui, played by Richard Li, the murderer, sets his sights on her as his next target.

Indeed, Dongfang Zui manipulates the wedding between Xie Wan Yin and the prince by exerting pressure on her family for her to marry him instead. Despite his seemingly kind and intelligent demeanor, only Xie Wan Yin is aware of his cruel and ruthless nature. In fact, she plans to eliminate him, but he consistently seems to anticipate her moves one step ahead.

Dawn is Breaking is available to stream on Youku.

Love and Bid Farewell (Ep 7 – 15)

The long-running Chinese series follows the intricate web of plots within a palace. After Gu Jun Yao (played by He Xuanlin) loses her entire family through execution, she spends years concealed in a clandestine group, biding her time to exact revenge. However, the prince, who she initially intended to manipulate for her vengeance, proves to be a cunning antagonist, creating hurdles in Jun Yao’s quest for retribution.

Love and Bid Farewell can be streamed on Tencent Video.

Bank on Me (Ep 5-18)

Lin Qiang (previously Bai Yu), a deputy director at the auditing department of United Bank’s headquarters, was reassigned following his refusal to endorse a questionable loan. Despite the branch’s poor performance, Lin Qiang swiftly identifies the underlying issue utilizing his expertise. He then collaborates with an old colleague who experienced a similar fate, and together they support the team in advocating for fair treatment and benefits.

Hard Noble Lady

In my gaming world, I just dove into an engaging Chinese series where I find myself swapped from a ruthless CEO Liu Xi, living it up as a playboy, to Liu Xi Zhao, a young woman reborn in a traditional household. My husband, Lu Shao Yang, is more of a party boy, and we’re always at odds. I yearn for my past life, but when I voice my discontent, I’m confined to our home.
