Ana de Armas’ stunts get highlighted in Ballerina spin-off’s Brazil CCXP footage
At the Comic-Con Experience (CCXP) in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Lionsgate Films unveiled unexpected glimpses of Ana De Armas’ upcoming film, Ballerina. The footage spotlights De Armas as she transforms into the character Eve Macarro, a trained assassin. This sneak peek provides viewers with a glimpse into De Armas’ process of embodying Macarro.
The video is more than 3 minutes long and depicts Armas’ character engaging with Reeves’ Wick, who she asks for advice on emulating his actions. This scene occurs after Armas engages in some challenging action scenes, to which Wick responds, “It seems you’ve managed already.” In the recording, Armas expresses her amazement at surviving the tough stunts, stating, “I can’t believe I made it through unscathed.
Moreover, the video features additional scenes of Eve demonstrating her combat abilities. In this segment, the director of Ballerina, Len Wiseman explains the film as, “This isn’t a female version of John Wick. This is a tale that follows Eve from the start.” Additionally, Ian McShane, cast as Winston, comments, “John Wick is the Baba Yaga. And Ana, she’s the Little Baba Yaga.
The film titled “Ballerina,” directed by Chad Stahelski, is set between the releases of “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” in 2019 and “John Wick: Chapter 4” in 2023. The existence of this movie was revealed in April 2022, with Ana De Armas taking over the role previously held by Unity Phelan (portrayed as Eve Macarro in “John Wick: Chapter 3”).
