To my delight, YouTuber and streamer OKING was crowned the winner of season 1! The finale of the Netflix social survival show The Influencer saw four finalists competing in a mission of pop-up stage in the last round. The top four influencer survivors were Pani Bottle, RISABAE, Jang Ji-Sou, and OKING. However, OKING was declared the winner of the show’s season 1 and received a grand prize money worth 300 million won (more than $2,18,729).
Byeong-Min Oh, also known as OKING, is a South Korean streamer and YouTuber, who turned his broadcasting career into a success story back in 2015 by chance. At the age of 30, he has garnered a considerable following with his engaging content focusing on online gaming, outdoor adventures, and mukbang videos. His rise to fame can be attributed to his exceptional communication skills that quickly captured positive attention from viewers.
Two years down the line, he started his own broadcasting platform, dedicating approximately eight hours daily to streaming various video games. Besides featuring on Netflix’s The Influencer, OKING has graced multiple other programs such as Representatives, After Wave, Smiling Executive, among others.
Currently, the digital entertainment firm Sandbox Network manages this particular influencer. At present, he boasts an impressive following of 221K on Instagram and 2 million subscribers on YouTube. However, it’s worth noting that he recently found himself embroiled in a scandal involving cryptocurrency fraud, as reported by the Maeil Business Newspaper.
