Speaking with FilmTopp, Camilla Läckberg shared that she generally approaches TV series creation with a mindset of multiple seasons. However, she noted that it’s crucial to gauge the interest from the channel and other factors before moving forward. Yet, as she creatively works on the project, she often considers potential continuations.
By emphasizing the advantages of her approach, Läckberg argued that planning the overall storyline for a series helps maintain its quality beyond the first season, preventing situations where creators are left scratching their heads about how to resolve plot issues in subsequent seasons. Citing Lost and Prison Break as examples of shows that struggled with this issue, she stated, “It’s infuriating when you have a fantastic concept for a season, but then you need more seasons and they’re just like, ‘oh dear, what are we going to do now?’
After sharing some exciting updates about The Glass Dome Season 2, Camille Läckberg mentioned, “I’ve already sketched out a storyline for season two and I have definite ideas on how it could unfold.” Regrettably, Netflix has yet to announce any official plans regarding the show’s release schedule for its second season.
