Fans are excitedly awaiting the continuation of the story starring Vikrant Massey and Taapsee Pannu, with some intriguing new characters added to the mix. With the film now available on Netflix, viewers can’t help but ponder over the fate of Rishu and Rani, as well as uncovering the mystery behind Abhimanyu’s past. If you want to find out how it all ends, keep reading!

What happens in Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba?

The movie opens with Rani Saxena (played by Taapsee Pannu), embarking on a fresh journey as the proprietor of a beauty salon. Not long after, we meet Sunny Kaushal’s character, Abhimanyu, who is captivated by Rani and extends an invitation for a cinema outing.

In the early stages of their budding romance, the movie brings back Rishabh Saxena, or Rishu, who was believed to be dead but was actually faking it by leaving his dismembered hand at the scene of Neel’s murder (Rani’s former illicit lover). This encounter between Rishu and Rani sparks a strong romantic tension. Despite the police being unable to prove Rani’s involvement in the murders, they believed the events bore a striking resemblance to a plot from one of Rani’s favorite author Dinesh Pandit’s books.

In Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, characters named Rishu and Rani maintain separate lives but discreetly rendezvous at diverse spots like bustling markets and iconic sites such as the Taj Mahal. Their covert meetings lead them to contemplate fleeing to Thailand where they can live together openly. However, Abhimanyu, who has been patiently waiting for Rani following their missed cinema date, remains clueless about her history.

Officer Mritunjya, also known as Montu Chacha or Neel’s maternal uncle, enters the scene with unyielding resolve. His motivation is fueled by a thirst for retribution, and he has a clear grasp of Rishu’s intentions.

In order to confuse suspicion, Rani decides to marry Abhimanyu after her plans with Rishu fall through. Yet, Rishu persists in secret encounters. The dynamics of Rani’s marriage with Abhimanyu mirror her past relationship with Rishu. On their wedding night, Rani brings up Dinesh Pandit, implying that even Rishu was unaware of the author until they met her.

One day, finding Rishu in the company of Poonam, which Rani had thought was exclusive to her, led to Rani drinking excessively and admitting her unfaithfulness to Abhimanyu. The following morning, Abhimanyu insisted on speaking with Rishu. Their encounter was filled with tension, but Abhimanyu consented to aid Rishu and Rani in fleeing to Thailand.

Does Rishu & Rani end up together?

Afterwards, Hasseen Dillruba continues with a series of exhilarating events. Rishu finds himself imprisoned at Abhimanyu’s clinic, where he uncovers Abhimanyu’s troubled past. Abhimanyu confides that he has fallen for Rani since their first encounter and admits that they both have taken lives in the name of love. Previously, Abhimanyu had taken the life of his uncle’s entire family because his uncle had betrayed his father.

In a state of concern, Rani hurriedly visits the police station and admits to Montu Chacha that Rishu is indeed alive. Her actions lead to a harsh beating, causing her great pain. As a result, Rishu proposes a condition for his surrender: he wishes to meet Rani at a railway bridge.

In the appointed day of their meeting, it was Rani whom Rishu eventually met, but Abhimanyu – now donning a police uniform – menaced them both. During this tense exchange, all three individuals accidentally plunged into a body of water teeming with crocodiles. With them presumed dead, the case was concluded. Six months on, Rani and Abhimanyu were spotted living harmoniously in the mountains. She took up a teaching position at a local school, while he worked as a compounder. Regrettably, Rishu was assumed to have perished in the water.

Will there be Haseen Dillruba 3?

As I’m engrossed in my classroom session, a notebook slides across my desk, bearing a verse from a book by Pandit – a subtle wink to my past chats with Rishu. Meanwhile, Uncle Montu receives a book by Dinesh Pandit, anonymously sent. This book echoes events akin to those in the movie, including the allegations and that crocodile episode. It even has a note instructing Uncle Montu to meet at a specific location.

At this location, Rani summons Abhimanyu and implicates him in the murder of Rishu. As Montu Chacha arrives with law enforcement officials, Rani jumps off a cliff, asserting her belief that not even Abhimanyu could capture her. The authorities fail to locate Rani’s remains, and the movie ends with Rani being reunited with Rishu. Abhimanyu admits to Montu Chacha that he is indeed Dinesh Pandit’s offspring.

As a dedicated gamer, I can’t help but ponder over the intriguing finale of Haseen Dillruba. Could there be a third installment? Will Rishu and Rani ultimately find tranquility in their tumultuous relationship? And what hidden truths lie within Abhimanyu’s past? Only time will tell, as these mysteries might just unfold in upcoming sequels.
