Netflix’s ‘Big Mouth’ Sends the Bridgeton Teens on Their Final Wild Journey

Netflix’s popular adult-oriented animated series, Big Mouth, is preparing for its farewell season, leading the cherished Bridgeton adolescents on a final adventure through the trials of growing up, cringe-worthy situations, and side-splitting humor as they tackle high school life.

Originally developed by Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, Mark Levin, and Jennifer Flackett, the hit show Big Mouth has been a sensation since its 2017 premiere, garnering acclaim for its candid and side-splitting exploration of puberty, self-discovery, and adolescence. Now, as the series approaches its finale, characters like Nick (Nick Kroll), Andrew (John Mulaney), Jessi (Jessi Klein), and their companions will navigate the ups and downs of high school, dealing with topics such as cancel culture, relationships, consent, and self-identity. Throughout this journey, their persistent hormone monsters, including Maury (Kroll) and Connie (Maya Rudolph), will continue to provide their offbeat yet enlightening advice.

Season 8 features a stellar cast of guest stars such as Cynthia Erivo, Quinta Brunson, Holly Hunter, Steve Buscemi, Kristen Wiig, Nathan Fillion, Ali Wong, Richard Kind, Keke Palmer, Natasha Lyonne, Billy Porter, Craig Robinson and many others. Notably, Holly Hunter lends her voice to a fresh character named Compassion, who assists the teens as they navigate their most significant transformations yet.

Netflix hints at an emotional conclusion: “Ultimately, our children venture bravely into the ominous future, feeling less apprehensive about what lies ahead as they stand together.

The final ten episodes of Big Mouth premiere exclusively on Netflix on May 23.
