As a dedicated Netflix enthusiast with years of binge-watching experience under my belt, I can’t contain my excitement as we approach another week filled with new releases on the streaming platform! August is off to an incredible start, and I can hardly wait to share some of the most anticipated titles coming our way.
From a gamer’s perspective, as one month fades away, another takes its place. This week signifies the close of July and the arrival of August. If you’re an avid Netflix fan like me, then you’re well aware that each new month brings a fresh pile of exciting new releases. So let’s dive in and explore what’s new on Netflix this week!
On August 1st, a diverse array of films becomes available. This includes beloved classics such as “Mr. Deeds,” “White Chicks,” and “Not Another Teen Movie.” Additionally, recent hits like “Tarot” and “Room” can be found. Two Dr. Seuss adaptations and several Chucky movies are among the many gems waiting to be discovered. The anticipation builds for the August 2nd release of Zack Snyder’s “Rebel Moon” director’s cut double feature.
After you finish binge-watching the “Rebel Moon” marathon on Netflix, there are other exciting originals coming up this week. These include the new mystery series “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder,” which follows a high school student investigating a series of murders in her town; the return of the comedy series “Unstable” with all-new episodes; and a SpongeBob SquarePants movie spinoff, among other great content.
With an abundance of exciting new releases hitting Netflix this week, here are four must-see titles to add to your queue!
Fire Country season 1
Netflix continues to bring popular shows onto its platform, with many more expected in August. The binge-watching bonanza begins in August with the arrival of the first season of “Fire Country,” the acclaimed CBS drama series. This show follows a convict who joins his hometown’s fire department to make amends for past mistakes. The team’s battles against California wildfires are only the beginning – they also face plenty of dramatic situations that could put out a firehose. The first season consists of 22 episodes and will be available on Netflix starting August 1.
Prison Break seasons 1-5
As a dedicated gamer and binge-watcher, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news with fellow Prison Break fans. Starting July 29, all five seasons of this iconic show have been added to Netflix. Do you remember when it first aired on Fox way back in 2005? That’s almost 17 years ago! The series ended in 2009, but we were given the gift of a fifth season in 2017.
Unstable season 2
As a passionate binge-watcher with a soft spot for quirky comedies and heartwarming family dramas, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news about the latest additions coming to Netflix this week.
Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie
Have you grown excited to revisit Bikini Bottom once more? Twenty years have passed since the initial “SpongeBob SquarePants” film graced movie theaters in 2004, and a remarkable quarter-century has elapsed since the show made its debut on Nickelodeon. To commemorate this milestone, Netflix is releasing an all-new spinoff film titled “Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie” on August 2nd. In this captivating tale, Sandy and SpongeBob embark on a journey to Texas with the objective of saving their beloved underwater home. Don’t overlook this chance to experience the laughter, nostalgia, and adventure that await in “Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie.”
