As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for both dramas and action-packed anime series, I must admit, my heart skipped a beat when I heard about Netflix’s new releases for August 12-18, 2024. The combination of Emily in Paris Season 4 Part 1 and Kengan Ashura Season 2 Part 2 is like a dream come true!
On the schedule from August 12-18, 2024, Netflix will debut new episodes of Emily in Paris (Season 4, Part 1) and Kengan Ashura (Season 2, Part 2).
On Thursday, the 15th of August, Netflix users have the opportunity to watch the first part of Emily in Paris Season 4 and the second part of Kengan Ashura Season 2.
Emily in Paris is a drama-comedy produced by Darren Star. The show centers around Emily Cooper, portrayed by Lily Collins, a determined marketing professional from Chicago who gets her ideal job in Paris. Swiftly adjusting to her fresh surroundings, Emily forges friendships, immerses herself in her work, and pursues romantic entanglements.
Kengan Ashura is an anime adaptation of the manga series written by Yabako Sandrovich and Daromeon. In its second season, competitors engage in the subsequent round of the Kengan Mortal Combat tournament. However, Tokita Ohma is absent due to being hospitalized unconsciously. Simultaneously, a shadowy character orchestrates a violent uprising while Hayami and Electric Power Co. attempt something similar.
Also releasing on Netflix this week are the films The Union and Pearl.
In this action-packed thriller, a construction worker from New Jersey finds his world turned upside down when the woman he had a crush on in high school enlists him in a covert spy operation.
Pearl is a chilling precursor to X, classified as a horror-slasher thriller. The narrative focuses on Pearl, a young woman living on a remote farm, caring for her ill father under the strict supervision of her domineering, bitter, and religious mother. As Pearl dreams of the glamorous life portrayed in films, she gradually loses her sanity as her desires, temptations, and hidden emotions emerge.
