As a hardcore gamer and Netflix enthusiast, I can’t contain my excitement as July comes to an end and August rolls in with a fresh wave of new movies and shows! With so much to look forward to, let me fill you in on what’s catching my eye this week.
I’m excited as August arrives and July comes to a close, bringing an abundance of fresh movies and shows on Netflix. This week alone, there are plenty of new releases in store. I can’t wait for the latest season of that gripping true crime series, the premiere of a new book adaptation, the addition of a popular network show, the long-awaited Spongebob movie, and, as expected, another dose of Zach Snyder’s unique take on storytelling.
I’m excited to share that starting July 31, 2024, I’ll be diving into the latest installment of “Unsolved Mysteries” Volume 4 on Netflix! Each episode brings new enigmas straight to my screen, from the unexplained disappearance of people, to baffling unsolved murders, and even tales of alien encounters. The common thread? Nothing about these mysteries has been figured out yet. This time around, I’ll be investigating cases involving Jack the Ripper, a corpse discovered in a basement, a severed head, the elusive Mothman, and a murder that occurred in a locked theater. Can’t wait to unravel the secrets!

As a curious gamer with an insatiable appetite for mystery stories, I’m excited to share that starting August 1st, I’ll be diving into the new Netflix series, “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder.” Based on Holly Jackson’s captivating novel of the same name, this show follows me, Pip Fitz-Amobi, as I become determined to uncover the truth behind a local girl’s death. Is it really her boyfriend, Sal, who’s responsible? And what lengths will people go to keep me from discovering the answers? Buckle up and join me on this thrilling journey of solving a real-life whodunit! If you’ve already read the book, consider this a mandatory addition to your watchlist.
Emma Myers, Asha Banks, Raiko Gohara, Zain Iqbal, Jude Morgan-Collie, Yali Topol Margalith, and Yasmin Al-Khudhairi are the main actors in the production.

This captivating soap opera, filled with suspense and fire, is now available on Netflix with its first season debuting on CBS. The plot revolves around Bode Donovan, an inmate given the opportunity to join a firefighting team. However, his misfortune lies in the fact that he must face his past as his firesigns are set in his hometown – a place he had no intention of revisiting.
