As a devoted fan of the Outer Banks series, I can’t contain my excitement as the countdown to season 4 begins! October 10, 2024, here we come! The news that the first part will drop on that day has me grinning ear to ear. And not only one part, but two – Part 2 arriving a few weeks later on November 7, 2024. I’ve been following this show since its inception, and I must admit, this split-season release strategy is both intriguing and nerve-wracking. I hope it will be the former for Outer Banks!
2024 marks the start of the countdown as we eagerly await the return of John B and the Pogues in the forthcoming season 4 of “Outer Banks,” with the official release date now confirmed!
Good news for Outer Banks fans! The much-loved series is making its comeback for another thrilling journey starting October 10, 2024. Excitingly, Netflix has opted to split Season 4 into two parts. On October 10, 2024, we’ll get the first half, and Part 2 will follow a few weeks later on November 7, 2024.
It’s increasingly typical for Netflix to roll out their biggest shows in segments instead of all at once at the start of a season. This split structure works well for shows with a well-timed midseason finale, providing a smooth transition between seasons. However, it can disrupt the flow and momentum for some series. Here’s hoping that Outer Banks falls into the category of those where the segmented release maintains its momentum.
With Season 4 scheduled to debut soon, we can expect an official trailer to surface shortly, and it’s likely that our first comprehensive sneak peek of the season will be unveiled during Geeked Week, which is slated for September 16th. Given that Netflix is expected to share updates about many of its major shows at this event, including glimpses into upcoming seasons, it seems logical that they would premiere the Outer Banks trailer during Geeked Week.
Outer Banks season 4 will be a fresh start for the Pogues
In Season 4, we can expect an intriguing change for the series, as it seems to introduce a kind of soft reboot for “Outer Banks”. To remind you, the third season wrapped up the main storyline revolving around the Royal Merchant and the hunt for gold bars worth $400 million that were rumored to have sunk with the ship.
Following their discovery of the long-lost city of El Dorado’s treasure, John B. and the Pogues experienced a leap of about 18 months in time. During this period, they gained credibility from those who had previously doubted them, and even attracted the attention of another seasoned treasure hunter.
The final act of the season saw an enigmatic figure approaching the Pogues, who sought their aid in locating the buried fortune of Blackbeard. Essentially, this stranger drew them aside to present the 1718 logbook of Edward Teach, better known as Blackbeard, suggesting that the fourth season will have the Pogue crew embarking on a thrilling quest to uncover Blackbeard’s hidden treasure.
As the Pogues embark on a fresh journey, the series will launch into a new narrative thread, offering opportunities to delve into fresh character interactions. Notably, there’s a time leap of about 1.5 years, suggesting that significant events may have occurred among the Pogues during this period and their maturity might bring about alterations in the storyline. Moreover, they now possess resources unavailable to them previously, potentially leading to intriguing shifts in the narrative.
Regardless of the circumstances, it’s clear that The Pogues will return on October 10, 2024 for Part 1. We’re already buzzing with excitement about the thrilling escapades that are coming up in Season 4!
