Netflix adding 2 all-time classics to their game library

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that Netflix’s foray into mobile gaming is not just a smart move, but a bold and exciting step forward. The addition of Civilization VI and Street Fighter IV: Champion Edition to their library is music to my ears!

As a gaming enthusiast, I can tell you that Netflix stepping up their game in mobile gaming isn’t exactly groundbreaking news, but at Geeked Week 2024, they dropped some exciting updates about expanding their investments in this field. They are planning to bring Civilization VI and Street Fighter IV: Champion Edition onto the platform, and trust me, if you haven’t experienced these games yet, they are absolute must-plays!

Netflix continue expanding their mobile library with Civ VI & Street Fighter IV

Additionally to several smaller games arriving soon, Netflix has revealed plans to include Civilization VI and Street Fighter IV: Champion Edition on their platform.

In the interim before Civilization VII arrives, we have the option to engage with Civilization VI. Notably, the version accessible on Netflix will encompass all content from the Platinum Edition of the game. This generous offering comprises six DLC packs, along with the expansions Rise and Fall and Gathering Storm.

If you prefer Street Fighter over Civilization, they’ve also verified Street Fighter IV: Champion Edition. This mobile adaptation required significant adjustments to the original characters, as it’s important to note that the game was designed for portable devices.

As a passionate gamer, I’ve been pondering over the strategic moves of Netflix. I think it’s shrewd of them to continue pouring resources into mobile gaming, but what if they ventured even further into the realm of PC and console gaming? Or perhaps this is just a passing trend? What are your thoughts on this?
