NCIS: Tony & Ziva Adds 8 to Cast, Filming Underway for Spin-off

As a dedicated NCIS fan with years of investment in the stories and characters of this beloved franchise, I can’t help but feel a thrill of excitement upon hearing about the upcoming Paramount+ series, “NCIS: Tony & Ziva.” The prospect of Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo reprising their iconic roles as Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David is enough to get any true fan’s heart racing. But the addition of eight new cast members, each bringing unique and intriguing characters to the table, only serves to heighten my anticipation.

The forthcoming Paramount+ show, NCIS: Tony and Ziva, featuring Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo in the leading roles, has announced the addition of eight new actors to its ensemble as production gets underway in Budapest.

Together with Weatherly and de Pablo returning as their beloved NCIS characters Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David, the 10-episode series also introduces Isla Fisher, Amita Suman, Max Osinski, Nassima Benchicou, Julian Ovenden, Terence Maynard, Lara Rossi, and James D’Arcy as new cast members.

Who are the new NCIS: Tony & Ziva characters?

Suman, known for her role in Shadow and Bone, is cast as Claudette in Tony’s company. An exceptionally skilled chief technical officer, Claudette’s character comes to life through Suman’s acting. Previously seen on Ted Lasso, Osinski portrays Boris – a renowned hacker with Russian origins and one of the best in the world at eluding authorities. Lastly, Benchicou brings Martine, a cunning former French intelligence agent, to life on screen. In this production, Isla Gie takes on the role of Tali, Tony and Ziva’s 12-year-old daughter.

I’m excited about the new additions to the cast in this production! I used to see Ovenden in “Bridgerton,” but now he takes on the role of Jonah, a former NSA programmer who has become the secretary general of Interpol. It’s intriguing to see how his background in technology will influence his new position.

After Ziva’s supposed demise, Tony departed from the NCIS team to focus on raising their daughter. Later on, it was revealed that Ziva was still alive and she reappeared in the NCIS series to complete a last assignment. Subsequently, Ziva met up with Tony and their daughter Tali in Paris. However, events took an intricate turn when Tony’s security firm was targeted, compelling the main characters to go into hiding.

NCIS: Tony & Ziva is overseen by John McNamara in his roles as executive producer and showrunner. Additionally, Mark Harmon, Cote de Pablo, Laurie Lieser, Christina Strain, Shelley Meals, and Mairzee Almas contribute to the production. Paramount Global Content Distribution handles the distribution of this NCIS spin-off.
