NBC Cancels Suits LA and 4 Other TV Shows

NBC has made the decision to end five television shows, one of which is the legal drama “Suits LA.” Despite being led by Stephen Amell, the spin-off failed to meet the expectations set by the original hit series on USA Network after just one season. This cancellation takes place prior to the airing of the Season 1 finale, scheduled for this coming Sunday, May 11th.

Aaron Korsh, the show’s original creator, penned and oversaw Suits LA. In addition to a star from the Arrowverse, the team also comprises Josh McDermitt as Stuart Lane, Lex Scott Davis as Erica Rollins, Troy Winbush as Kevin, Alice Lee as Leah, Bryan Greenberg as Rick Dodsen, John Amos, Victoria Justice as Dylan Pryor, and Kevin Weisman as Lester Thompson. The executive producers of the show are David Bartis, Doug Liman, Gene Klein, Anton Cropper, Genevieve Sparling, Rick Muirragui, and Jon Cowan.

What are the canceled NBC TV shows?

Besides Suits LA, popular shows such as Lopez vs. Lopez, Night Court (comedy), The Irrational, and Found (drama) have been terminated after running for three, two, and two seasons respectively. Currently, Warner Bros. Television is reportedly working on finding new broadcasting platforms for Night Court’s comedy series starring Melissa Rauch, and Shanola Hampton’s procedural drama, Found.

I recently jumped into the world of Night Court, a modern spin-off from the ’80s sitcom that carried the same name. In this fresh take, Rauch portrays Judge Abby Stone, the daughter of the iconic Harry Stone, played by the late, great Harry Anderson. The team also includes John Larroquette, India de Beaufort, Lacretta, Nyambi Nyambi, Wendi Malick, and a familiar face – John Larroquette reprises his role as Dan Fielding from the original series.

George Lopez served as both director and executive producer for the television series titled “Lopez vs. Lopez”. This family-centric sitcom revolves around a character played by Lopez himself, who finds himself moving into his daughter’s home after his business collapses. The show features Mayan Lopez, Matt Shively, Brice Gonzalez, Selenis Leyva, and Al Madrigal as main characters, with Rita Moreno, Cheech Marin, Caroline Rhea, and Jaime Camil appearing in recurring roles.

The narrative centered around Gabi Mosely, a previous kidnapping survivor who runs her own crisis management company, Mosely & Associates (M&A). Together, they tackled the cases of missing individuals who had been overlooked or neglected by law enforcement and the media. Alongside Hampton, the series featured Kelli Williams, Brett Dalton, Gabrielle Walsh, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Arlen Escarpeta, and Karan Oberoi.

The Irrational” was a crime drama series headlined by Jesse L. Martin, formerly of The Flash. In this role, he portrayed Professor Alec Mercer, a behavioral science expert who assists governments, law enforcement, and corporations in resolving intricate problems. Alongside him were Maahra Hill, Arash DeMaxi, Molly Kunz, and Travina Springer.”
