Nayanthara’s Mookuthi Amman 2 producer says it will be ‘pan-world’ film; find out the massive budget here

Upcoming projects for Nayanthara are full of excitement! Most recently, news emerged about Mookuthi Amman 2, a follow-up to her 2020 movie with the same title. This film, directed by Sundar C, was officially unveiled at a grand ceremony held in Chennai.

At the event, all actors from the movie, headed by Nayanthara, were present. Notably, producer Ishari Ganesh made remarks that quickly attracted everyone’s focus.

As an ardent admirer, I’m thrilled to share that Ishari Ganesh has revealed some exciting details about the upcoming film, Mookuthi Amman 2. Instead of being just a pan-Indian production, he envisions this project as a truly global endeavor, aiming for a grand scale of Rs. 100 crore.

Additionally, the producer mentioned a unique detail regarding Nayanthara – she plans to abstain from eating for extended periods before taking on her divine character again in the film.

In addition to the lead actress, the movie features Khushbu Sundar, Regina Cassandra, Abhinaya, Duniya Vijay, Urvashi, Yogi Babu, Ramachandra Raju, Ajay Ghosh, and several other talented actors.

The initial movie was helmed by RJ Balaji, but for the forthcoming comedy-drama, it’s Sundar C who will handle both writing and direction.

Regarding Nayanthara, her most recent appearance on-screen was in the 2023 movie “Annapoorani: The Goddess of Food.” Following this, she generated a lot of buzz when she unveiled her personal documentary film, aptly named “Nayanthara: A Step Beyond the Fairy Tale.

Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that the upcoming movie of actress Nayanthara, titled “Test,” featuring co-stars R. Madhavan and Siddharth, has revealed its launch date. Bypassing a traditional cinema debut, this sports-themed film will make its grand entrance directly on the streaming platform Netflix on April 4, 2025.

The diva’s other ventures include a potential project named MMMN, starring Mohanlal and Mammootty. Moreover, she is working on solo-led films such as Rakkayie. Furthermore, her upcoming projects include Mannangatti Since 1920, Dear Students, and the movie Toxic, which stars Yash.
