As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for resilience and grace, I must commend Nayanthara for her courage and poise in the face of adversity. Her journey in the world of cinema, marked by body-shaming incidents like the one during Ghajini, is a testament to her strength and determination. It’s heartening to see her rise above such negativity and continue to shine as one of Tamil cinema’s most revered stars.

Lately, Nayanthara has left an impression on Netflix’s streaming service, where her new documentary titled “Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale” is now accessible for viewing. In a deeply emotional part of this documentary, the actress candidly discussed one challenging phase in her career that occurred during the time of the Suriya-led movie, Ghajini.

In a video posted by Netflix, Nayanthara spoke about her past experiences with body-shaming and unkind remarks regarding her appearance in a film. Looking back on those times, she mentioned, “There were instances when I would read through comments like, ‘Why is she acting? Why is she even in the movie? She’s so overweight.’

As an ardent admirer, allow me to share some of the actress’s words: “It’s inappropriate for you to make such comments. You can certainly discuss the acting aspect—perhaps I could have done better—but I was merely following my director’s instructions. I wore what he asked me to wear. Being a novice, I had no say in these matters.

In a documentary, Nayanthara shared insights about the debate surrounding her bikini scene in the movie Billa, which starred Ajith Kumar. She explained that while some found it controversial, for her, it was just following director’s instructions, and she never intended it as a statement of any kind.

Lately, news outlets have been buzzing about Nayanthara following a high-profile disagreement with actor Dhanush that emerged. The argument started when Dhanush filed a lawsuit against Nayanthara for utilizing footage from his film project, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, in her documentary.
