NASA will do its first Twitch stream from space this February

Next week, NASA is set to create history by hosting its initial live Twitch stream directly from the International Space Station. This extraordinary event, happening 250 miles above Earth, will offer an unprecedented view into space on a Twitch platform. The broadcast is slated for February and several well-known astronauts are expected to participate in this unique event.

This week, NASA announced through its social media platforms that it would host a live Q&A session on February 12, 2025. At 8:45 a.m. Pacific Time / 11:45 a.m. Eastern Time, astronauts Don Pettit, Matt Dominick, and others will appear on the NASA Twitch channel directly from the International Space Station. During this session, they’ll discuss their experiences working in space and living aboard the ISS while answering questions from viewers.

Experience live broadcasts from the cosmos! Tune into our inaugural @Twitch stream on February 12 for a chance to interact with @Astro_Pettit about his life and work in space.

Joining us will also be @DominickMatthew, who has just come back from living on the station.

For the very first time, NASA is planning to broadcast a livestream with a host from beyond Earth’s atmosphere. Despite all the advancements and groundbreaking technology in space exploration and rocket propulsion, nobody has ever streamed live directly from space. This event presents a unique opportunity for space enthusiasts to gain insights into what goes on in space and life aboard the space station.

Keep an eye out as we launch our live broadcast next week! We’ll be bringing you the latest tech news and updates, all here on Shacknews.
