Nagarjuna sheds light on Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya's 'hurried' engagement, opens up about their wedding plan

As a seasoned lifestyle expert with decades of observation under my belt, I must say that the union between Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala seems like a beautiful blend of two souls deeply in love. Their engagement, hastily arranged due to astrological alignment yet filled with genuine emotion, is a testament to their unwavering commitment to each other.

More recently, Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala have announced their engagement after keeping their relationship private for two years. Since then, Nagarjuna, the well-known Thandel actor’s father, has shared some details about their upcoming nuptials. In a recent chat, the seasoned actor expressed his joy at welcoming Sobhita into their family and discussed the symbolism behind selecting August 8 as their engagement date.

In an interview with Times Now, Nagarjuna expressed his joy for his son, noting that Sobhita and Chaitanya are a lovely couple who share a deep love. He also revealed why August 8 was chosen as the engagement date. Apparently, both families consulted astrological charts and found the day to be extremely auspicious, which led to their decision to hold the ceremony on that specific date.

Regarding your inquiry about the wedding date, Nagarjuna made it clear that it wouldn’t happen right away. The engagement was arranged swiftly due to the special significance of the date, and since Chaitanya and Sobhita were absolutely sure about their relationship, both families chose to move forward promptly.

He explained that the wedding wouldn’t be right away. They decided on a quick engagement as it was an auspicious day, and both Chay and Sobhita were certain about their desire to marry, so they went ahead with it.

Additionally, the actor mentioned that the engagement brought immense joy to both families, with Sobhita’s relatives taking a special liking to Chaitanya. He expressed that his cherished son, whom he referred to as a priceless gem, truly merits happiness.

As a lifestyle expert reflecting on my personal journey, I must share an intriguing fact: I had the pleasure of knowing Sobhita long before she crossed paths with Chaitanya. It was six years ago, in Adivi Sesh’s film Goodachari, that her talent first caught my eye. Since then, we’ve engaged in numerous thought-provoking conversations about cinema, life, and philosophy, which led me to appreciate Sobhita not only as a skilled artist but also as a profoundly intelligent individual.

On Thursday in Hyderabad, a small, private ceremony was held for the engagement. Attendees included Naga Chaitanya’s brother Akhil Akkineni, his mother, Lakshmi Daggubati (Nagarjuna’s former wife), and his stepmother Amala, along with other close family members.
