Discussing a highly popular topic, the divorce between Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu was widely discussed. More recently, following many years apart, Chay has chosen to address this subject for the first time.
On the Raw Talks With VK podcast on YouTube, the actor reflected upon a challenging choice he made in his private life.
Speaking about how this delicate subject has been turned into sensational news by the media, Naga Chaitanya expressed, “We’ve requested for privacy. Kindly respect our wishes and grant us privacy in this matter. Unfortunately, it seems to be more of a headline, a topic for gossip, even entertainment.
The actor stated that he and Samantha chose to part ways, each for personal reasons, and maintain mutual respect. He sees no need to provide further explanations about their situation to others.
After marrying Sobhita Dhulipala, he gracefully transitioned from past events and expressed that Samantha too seems to have moved forward in life. However, he mentioned with relief that they both continue to hold mutual respect for each other.
Instead, Chay voiced his discontent over being viewed as a criminal by others, noting that their split was consensual. Later, he contemplated the fact that he himself came from a fractured family, and would carefully consider any action that might damage a connection.
Naga Chaitanya expressed his frustration by saying, “Why do I feel like I’m being treated as if I’ve committed a crime, when problems aren’t unique to my life? You see, I hail from a fractured family background, and I understand the pain that comes with it. I would ponder deeply a thousand times before damaging a relationship because I am aware of its consequences… The decision was jointly made.
As the interview was drawing to a close, Naga Chaitanya shared that his separation from Samantha didn’t occur suddenly, causing him distress. Despite this, he admitted to still experiencing regret about the situation. Since then, he has been working diligently to regain his footing and find the correct path in life.
