After the initial trailer for Arjun Reddy was revealed, the filmmaker, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, has finally spoken up about a significant turning point in the movie’s journey. He recalled that his phone became inundated with countless messages following just the trailer’s release.
On the Game Changers podcast, the director expressed, “In about 1-2 hours following its release, my phone was flooded with messages. That day, there was a strong sense that our film was gaining traction. The impact of the teaser surpassed that of the movie itself, as we found the response to the teaser launch exceeded our expectations.
In the continuation, the director shared an interesting detail: it was him and Vijay Deverakonda who simultaneously clicked the button on a laptop at that exact moment to officially unveil the movie’s teaser trailer.
Given the nature of the reaction they received, it brought about genuine surprise, and it turned out to be an extraordinarily life-altering experience for both individuals.
For those not familiar, following the widespread acclaim of Arjun Reddy in 2017, Sandeep Reddy Vanga then adapted the same story for Hindi cinema under the title Kabir Singh. The Bollywood adaptation starred Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani as the main characters.
Currently, the director is generating headlines due to an upcoming production called “Spirit,” starring Prabhas. This will be their initial joint venture, and given this, viewers are eagerly awaiting to see what they can expect from this collaboration.
According to past accounts, Spirit is believed to take on active roles, while the Rebel Star might portray a police officer harboring anger during work hours.
In the upcoming film, it’s rumored that Prabhas will portray an exceptionally distinctive character. Unlike any roles he has played before, his appearance in this movie is expected to be completely new and distinct.
