'My choice of words...': Nani clarifies his statement on Arshad Warsi over his 'joker' comment on Prabhas and Kalki 2898 AD

As a passionate admirer of Nani, I find myself deeply moved by his grace and maturity in handling a situation that could have easily escalated into a full-blown feud. His life experiences have undoubtedly shaped him into a thoughtful individual who prioritizes understanding over reacting impulsively.

Recently, popular actor Nani made news when he commented about Arshad Warsi’s joke regarding Prabhas and Kalki from 2898 AD. After his remarks sparked controversy, Nani later clarified and expressed regret for his initial reaction to the situation. In an interview with Midday, Nani stated that his comments were exaggerated and the true meaning of what he intended to convey was lost in the process of being translated.

He explained that he had merely caught wind of the comments made by someone because the truncated clips were widely shared across various social media platforms, similar to how his own video was omnipresent the previous day. When it comes to a person you deeply care about, your initial response might be to question why so much emphasis is being placed on an inconsequential matter. However, after observing numerous responses on social media, he decided to revisit the entire incident. It appears that the situation has been exaggerated through traditional media and social networks.

Indeed, Nani admitted that he used inappropriate words in his response to the matter. He further stated, “Of course, I made a mistake with my wording.” He concluded by acknowledging, “The most important action to take is to admit and learn from your mistakes.”

Furthermore, the actor conceded that Warsi had a right to his viewpoint. However, it was the specific choice of words that Nani thinks might have been changed.

After commenting on the incident involving Arshad Warsi and Prabhas at the Saripodhaa Sanivaaram pre-release event, the Hi Nanna actor later clarified his remarks by saying that what seemed to be the biggest publicity in Arshad Warsi’s life so far just happened recently. He went on to suggest that people were unduly glorifying an insignificant issue then.

More recently, Arshad Warsi found himself embroiled in a debate after his comments concerning Prabhas and Kalki in a chat with Samdish Bhatia on a podcast. In response to a question about a movie he disliked, the actor made a reference to Kalki, sparking some discussion.

Despite Sanjay Dutt (Munna Bhai MBBS actor) applauding Amitabh Bachchan’s portrayal of Ashwatthama, Arshad Warsi voiced his disapproval towards Prabhas and his acting. He expressed, “Prabhas, I am genuinely disappointed. Why was he like a circus clown? Why? I wish for Mad Max instead. I wish to see Mel Gibson there. What was that performance about? I can’t fathom why they would present it that way.”

1) Warsi’s comments about Salaar actor were met with disapproval by Prabhas’ fans and several individuals within the Southern film industry. It’s worth noting that Kalki 2898 AD is a movie directed by Nag Ashwin, featuring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan in key roles.
