Disney+ confirms development on Moving Season 2
Disney+ has revealed that the popular series “Moving” is set to return for a second season, with this announcement being made during their content presentation at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
According to Deadline, during her announcement, Carol Choi, Executive Vice President of Original Content Strategy at The Walt Disney Company Asia Pacific stated that “Moving” is an action-fantasy series, but fundamentally it’s a heartwarming tale about friendship, family, and human connections. Last year, “Moving” garnered the most views among Disney+’s local content. We are incredibly proud of all our recent releases, and “Moving” is definitely one we can’t overlook.
Choi continued, “We felt there was more to explore. Naturally, we’ll collaborate with writer Kang Full once more for Season 2.” This series is adapted from the critically-adored webtoon penned by Kang Full. The storyline revolves around three students who inherit superpowers from their parents.
While the students struggle to master their new abilities, their parents tirelessly work to shield them from institutions seeking to misuse these talents. Over the course of twenty episodes, this gripping saga unfolded on Disney+.
In 2023, Park In Je, the director of Moving, shared his views with The Hollywood Reporter about the potential for Season 2 of the series. He mentioned that writer Kang Full has plenty of stories set within the same universe ready to go. If given the opportunity to direct the second season, Park In Je promised an enhanced version of everything viewers saw in Season 1.
