In my humble opinion as a movie critic, the freshly released film “The Fantastic Four: First Strides” takes an intriguing detour by setting its narrative in the alternate timeline of “Earth-828,” which mirrors the vibrant atmosphere of a 1960s New York City reimagined through a retro-futuristic lens. The vintage computer monitors and machines, although reminiscent of the ’60s, are somewhat deceptive – while they initially appear to be products of their era, the technology, notably in space travel, is surprisingly contemporary at first glance, only later to reveal futuristic speed-of-light spaceship technology.
In this movie, Pedro Pascal plays the role of Reed Richards, also known as Mr. Fantastic, while Vanessa Kirby portrays Sue Storm, famously known as Invisible Woman.
