Mötley Crüe and Dolly Parton team up for Home Sweet Home revision (and great cause)

If you were born in the 1980s and managed to miss the music video for “Home Sweet Home” by Mötley Crüe, consider yourself fortunate. Prior to MTV realizing that viewers could artificially inflate their rankings, the video dominated the top charts on the channel.

1. The tune was decent, yet it didn’t merit daily top ranking status – no song truly does. However, there’s a compelling motive to watch the video now, but beware, there’s a condition. Watch the revised version instead. That’s the one featuring the country legend (and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee) Dolly Parton.

2. The melody was alright, though it didn’t deserve to be rated number one daily – no song truly does. Yet, there’s a good cause to view the video, but keep in mind, there’s a stipulation. View the updated version. That’s the one with Dolly Parton, the renowned country icon (and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee).

3. The music was okay, it didn’t warrant being ranked as number one every day – no song actually does so. Nevertheless, there’s a solid rationale to watch the video, but be advised, there’s a caveat. Watch the reworked version instead. That’s the one with Dolly Parton, the celebrated country artist (and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee).

4. The track was fine, it didn’t deserve to be rated number one every single day – no song actually does that. But there’s a strong reason to watch the video now, just remember, there’s a provision. Watch the remastered version instead. That’s the one with Dolly Parton, the esteemed country singer (and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee).

5. The composition was good enough, it didn’t earn daily top ranking – no song actually does that. Yet, there’s a solid motivation to view the video now, but be cautious, there’s a clause. Watch the revised version instead. That’s the one with Dolly Parton, the acclaimed country musician (and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee).

It might seem odd to pair a hair metal band, known more for style than substance, with Dolly Parton, an artist renowned for her exceptional talent. But it makes sense if you know it was done for a charitable purpose.

Mötley Crüe and Dolly Parton collaborate on an excellent revision of “Home Sweet Home”

The song titled “Home Sweet Home” will feature in Mötley Crüe’s forthcoming album, titled “From the Beginning“. This album serves as a compilation of their best songs, released prior to their upcoming Las Vegas residency. The album is set for release on September 12, and here’s the tracklist:

A portion of the profits from this one release will go towards Covenant House, an organization dedicated to offering shelter, food, and various other resources to homeless youths. Here’s hoping that the Crüe and Patron collaboration remains as the most popular YouTube video (the new MTV) for weeks due to its impact.
