As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of Mortal Kombat under my belt, I must say that the upcoming DLC, Mortal Kombat 1 Khaos Reigns, has me absolutely buzzing! The return of Cyrax and Sektor as playable characters is a dream come true for many fans who’ve been yearning for their comeback since 2011.

In the forthcoming DLC titled “Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns”, Cyrax and Sektor will make their return to the series as playable characters for the first time since the 2011 release of Mortal Kombat. The recent trailer showcases gameplay for Cyrax, along with story sequences involving the Lin Kuei assassin.

Who is Cyrax in Mortal Kombat 1 Khaos Reigns?

In the same vein as earlier versions, Cyrax is a Lin Kuei assassin under Sub-Zero’s command, traditionally depicted as a male cyborg. But in Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns, she will be reimagined as a female human character.

Originally, characters like Cyrax, Sektor, and Smoke in the classic Mortal Kombat games were once humans before joining the Cyber Initiative. This could be how the creators of Mortal Kombat 1 depicted their transformation, though this is merely a guess.

In the latest Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns preview, Cyrax challenges Sub-Zero’s scheme to disrupt Scorpion’s wedding, but ultimately carries out the command as she assails Wu Shi instead. Johnny Cage humorously protests, “Absolutely not! We aren’t doing the Red Wedding,” alluding to Game of Thrones. Naturally, Kung Lao is puzzled by this statement, so Cage clarifies, “Season 3, episode 9!” Cyrax and Scorpion share a significant moment, and a battle between Cyrax and Sektor is depicted.

In an intense and chilling conclusion to the trailer, I’m the one who demonstrates my lethal prowess with Cyrax’s Fatality move. To put it bluntly, I detach Cage’s head using a swift kick from my foot, toss it up high, return it to his body with another kick, and then crush it beneath my heel. There’s also a brief hint of my beastly nature, transforming me into a wasp momentarily.

In Mortal Kombat 1: Chaos Reigns, several fresh elements have been incorporated into the combat game. Among these are a novel narrative campaign, half a dozen brand-new characters you can control, and the reintroduction of animal transformations.
