As a long-time Mortal Kombat fan and avid gamer, I’m beyond excited to see Takeda joining the roster of Mortal Kombat 1! I remember playing as his father, Kenshi, back in the day and now his son carries on the family legacy. The gameplay video NetherRealm released showcasing Takeda’s moves and abilities only fueled my anticipation for this character.
As an excited fan, I can’t wait for EVO, which is taking place later this week in Las Vegas. And what a fantastic surprise NetherRealm has given us Mortal Kombat fans! They announced that we’ll be able to try out Takeda, the upcoming DLC fighter for MK1, at the event before it even starts. To build up the hype, the studio released a video prior to EVO, giving us a sneak peek into Takeda’s moves and abilities in action.
As a longtime fan of the Mortal Kombat series, I was absolutely thrilled when NetherRealm Studios released the Takeda gameplay video this morning. With every new reveal, my excitement grew as I watched him wielding his signature whips from a distance, lashing out at enemies with precision and ease. His mastery of space and timing is truly impressive.
In Mortal Kombat X’s debut, Takeda was revealed as Kenshi’s offspring. He belongs to the Shirai Ryu and Special Forces, marking a fresh wave of Mortal Kombat fighters alongside Cassie Cage, Jacqui Briggs, and Kung Jin.
On July 23, Mortal Kombat 1 will introduce Takeda as a new playable character. Joining him is the recently added Kameo fighter, Ferra. Keep tuned to Shacknews for the latest news on Mortal Kombat 1.
