Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2 Brings Lagiacrus and More Next Week

Next week, Capcom is set to roll out Monster Hunter Rampage’s Title Update 2. This update introduces two fresh monsters for combat, new customizable weapons with layered options, and enhancements to gameplay quality, along with additional content.

In this latest update for the game, we’ve introduced our second significant content expansion, building on the changes from March’s Title Update 1. The most notable new feature is the inclusion of Lagiacrus, a formidable foe you can battle in an additional mission. However, to face Lagiacrus, you must progress to Hunter Rank 31 and successfully complete both missions named “A World Turned Upside Down” and “Forest Doshaguma”.

In addition to the land-based confrontation with Lagiacrus, you’ll encounter an exciting underwater segment during the fight. This means the battle will be more than just ground-based, offering you a memorable experience.

Apart from Lagiacrus, you’ll also encounter Seregios, a monster that was previously seen in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak (a game that has just surpassed ten million copies sold).

To engage in battle against him, you must reach Hunter Rank 31 or higher and have already completed the quest “A World Turned Upside Down.” Given his propensity for causing the Bleeding status, it would be wise to carry items that can alleviate this effect.

This update also introduces some extra features such as acquiring novel layered weapons, an option to interchange between Alma and Erik as your companion characters, the inclusion of a fresh Support Hunter, and the privilege to choose the Support Hunter that will accompany you on your adventures.

A fresh update for Monster Hunter Wilds sounds promising, but it may not quell the growing discontent among players. At the moment, the game has a highly negative rating on Steam in recent reviews.

Feedback on this game spans from concerns about its subpar performance, insufficient content, and complaints about its sleek design. Although some of these problems seem to have been present since its release, others are becoming increasingly noticeable as more players advance to the endgame stage.

Regardless, “Monster Hunter Rise” is currently accessible on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The Title Update 2 is set to launch on June 30th. For a thorough analysis, you can check out our very own Tyler’s review of the main game here.
