Monster Hunter Wilds Poogie Guide – Where are they, and what can you do with them?

In the absence of Poogie in Monster Hunter Rise, fans might wonder if they’ve made a reappearance in the newest mainline game, Monster Hunter Sunbreak. If you’re curious about whether Poogie has returned in this new Monster Hunter installment, here’s some exciting news for you: Indeed, a Poogie is present in the game.

Where do you find Poogie in Monster Hunter Wilds?

In Chapter 3-2, following your victory over Jin Dahaad in the mission “Nothing Frozen, Nothing Gained,” you’ll find Poogie in the village of Suja once it has been unlocked. This adorable creature wanders freely around Suja, accompanied by a tiny frog friend perched on its head. Feel free to approach and interact with Poogie whenever you wish. If you should happen to misplace it, simply look for the Poogie icon on your map or mini-map to find it again.

What can you do with the Poogie?

It’s delightful to have Poogie back following Rise, but unfortunately, the range of activities you can engage in with this swine companion is quite restricted. Essentially, there are just a few actions you can perform when interacting with him:

  1. Pet
  2. Edit Name

Pressing the button at the right moment when a sweet pink symbol hovers above it offers a surprise gift. Missing the mark will make your adorable pet upset and leave in a huff, but don’t worry, they’ll return after a short while. So if you’ve ever thought “I’d like to obtain an Antidote Herb from a cute creature,” here’s your chance! And for those who enjoy a touch of immaturity, you can even rename your new pet.

Is that all?

Absolutely! For now, the customization options for Poogie, your adorable pet from past Monster Hunter games, have been scaled down in Monster Hunter Worlds. However, let’s keep our fingers crossed that Capcom reintroduces full customization in the future. In Monster Hunter World, you could pick up and change Poogie’s outfit, which is a feature missing in Wilds. This seems unusual given the past details, but perhaps it will return in future expansions or updates for Wilds. Keep an eye on this guide as we continue to update it for our dedicated Poogie fans!
