Monster Hunter Outlanders brings co-op hunting to mobile

As a seasoned Monster Hunter veteran, with countless hours spent tracking down fearsome beasts across various dimensions and timelines, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement at the announcement of Monster Hunter Outlanders. After dabbling in the mobile realm with Monster Hunter Now, Capcom is now teaming up with TiMi Studio Group to create an open-world survival game that promises to deliver the same thrilling co-op hunts we’ve grown to love, but tailored for our mobile devices.

In 2025, Monster Hunter Wilds is expected to be one of the year’s most anticipated game releases. However, it seems Capcom isn’t satisfied with limiting this phenomenon to just PC and console platforms. Instead, they are aiming to extend the joy of cooperative hunts to mobile devices. To achieve this, Capcom has partnered with TiMi Studio Group to unveil Monster Hunter Outlanders.

Monster Hunter Outlanders is characterized as an open-world survival game, nestled within the universe of Monster Hunter. Just like the primary series installments, players will traverse multiple zones on a vast map, craft equipment and tools, and collaborate with up to three companions for perilous hunts. However, TiMi Studio Group aims to leverage the mobile platform by organizing events and activities throughout the year to maintain player interest.

In April 2023, Capcom embarked on their second mobile adventure with Monster Hunter, following in the footsteps of Monster Hunter Now, developed by Niantic, creators of Pokemon GO. Monster Hunter Now has a style reminiscent of Pokemon GO, but Monster Hunter Outlanders aims to emulate the adaptation style seen in previous projects from TiMi Studio Group, such as Age of Empires Mobile, Call of Duty Mobile, and Pokemon Unite.

The release date for Monster Hunter Outlanders is yet to be announced, but expect it to be available on both iOS and Android devices in the near future. TiMi Studio Group plans to conduct playable tests shortly. In the interim, the game has an active Discord community that will keep players informed about the latest updates.
