As a die-hard fan who’s been following the Monarch: Legacy of Monsters journey since its inception, I can hardly contain my excitement as production for Season 2 commences! The anticipation has been building ever since that jaw-dropping cliffhanger at the end of Season 1. I’ve grown attached to the characters, especially Cate and Kentaro, and I can’t wait to see what adventures await them in this new season.
Production has begun on Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2.
In November 2023, the television show “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” debuted on Apple TV+. This series is part of the Monsterverse franchise and continues the story after the events depicted in the 2014 film “Godzilla.” The plot revolves around two half-siblings, Cate and Kentaro, as they unravel the mystery of their father’s disappearance and his connections to the Monarch organization, an enigmatic group with ties to monstrous creatures.
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters was officially renewed for a second season in April 2024.
Currently, the account belonging to Mr. Goji is now showcasing backstage snaps shared by Joe Tippett, who portrays Tim, as well as Anna Sawai, who acts as Cate. This announcement signifies that filming for Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 has officially commenced.

In addition to Sawai and Tippett, the initial season of Monarch: Saga of Beasts featured Kiersey Clemons, Wyatt Russell, Kurt Russell, Mari Yamamoto, Anders Holm, and Ren Watabe.

The series “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” was developed by Chris Black and Matt Fraction, who both hold the roles of showrunners and executive producers. Additionally, Joby Harold, Tory Tunnell, Matt Shakman, Andrew Colville, and Jen Roskind are also involved as executive producers in this production.
