Monad Launches Foundation to Advance Blockchain Ecosystem and Decentralized Governance

As a seasoned crypto investor with a knack for spotting promising projects, I’ve been closely watching Monad Labs’ evolution over the years. This latest announcement of the Monad Foundation and Category Labs rebranding has me more excited than ever!

Monad Labs has declared the establishment of the Monad Foundation, a separate entity focused on fostering the development and application of the Monad system. This move signifies a significant milestone in Monad’s progression, paving the way for increased collaboration with the community and improved decision-making processes.

The Monad Foundation, freshly established, is dedicated to enhancing and refining the infrastructure of the blockchain system. Acting independently, it aims to give power to both the community and validators – those managing the blockchain network – enabling them to propose and execute improvements via a decentralized system of governance. Moreover, the Foundation plans to offer critical tools to software developers and spearhead projects that boost the blockchain’s visibility, cultivate partnerships, stimulate growth, and nurture its development.

Introducing the Monad Foundation.

We’re thrilled to unveil the establishment of the Monad Foundation – a significant milestone in our journey towards more decentralized governance within the Monad Protocol and its ecosystem. Keone Hon and Eunice Giarta, influential figures within Monad’s management, are set to collaborate with The Foundation, accompanied by Monad Labs staff experts in marketing, public outreach, and developer support. In a recent announcement on their blog, Monad expressed that these individuals would be joining their team.

The main role of the Monad Foundation is to support validator governance and community improvement ideas, supply documentation for developers regarding the network, and participate in ecosystem development, marketing, and advisory tasks for the Monad protocol. Additionally, Keone Hon and Eunice Giarta are set to join the Monad Foundation.

Monad Labs Rebrands as Category Labs to Focus on Technical Innovation

As a researcher, I am excited to announce that Monad Labs, under my leadership as CEO, is undergoing a transformation into Category Labs. This rebranding signifies a complete refocusing of our efforts towards the technological evolution of blockchain technology. Our new identity embodies our commitment to leading the charge in software development and research, with the ultimate goal of optimizing the network’s performance and efficiency. We look forward to this exciting new chapter and the opportunities it brings for innovation and growth.

By dividing tasks between them, both the Monad Foundation and Category Labs can focus on their primary goals. The Monad Foundation takes charge of community outreach and increasing adoption, while Category Labs focuses on technological advancements. Their collective aim is to establish Monad as a key figure in the blockchain sector during a critical time for decentralized technology development.

This progress underscores Monad’s dedication to constructing a sturdy and eco-friendly environment. The Foundation and Category Labs are well-positioned to shine in their assigned tasks, as expressed by Monad.

We’re excited about the journey ahead and the chance for Category Labs and the Monad Foundation to take the lead in their specific fields – performance engineering and ecosystem management respectively. The field of decentralized technology is just getting started, and the coming years are going to be pivotal. Here’s to Gmonad and the road ahead!

Monad Labs has been garnering significant interest recently, as three projects using Monad technology secured venture capital financing in July. This comes after a Series A round of $225 million in April, which was spearheaded by Paradigm. The fresh funds are intended to grow the Monad blockchain, with aims to launch the mainnet before the end of this year.

As a researcher involved in the development of Monad, I’m excited to share that unlike traditional blockchains which follow Ethereum‘s blueprint, we are crafting our own Ethereum-compatible system. This new system is engineered to manage a higher volume of transactions more effectively. Our unique approach involves designing a specialized architecture for transaction processing in stages. This innovative strategy allows us to tackle scalability challenges while ensuring compatibility with applications designed for Ethereum.
