Season 1 of MobLand presented one of the most outstanding crime series productions in recent years. Its success was bolstered by a robust cast of characters, among them the formidable antagonist, Richie Stevenson, played impressively by Geoff Bell. However, with Richie’s elimination, it leaves us wondering who will step into those large footsteps. Could there be someone even more menacing lurking in MobLand season 2?
Who can replace Richie as MobLand’s antagonist in Season 2?
At the finale of MobLand’s first season, Tom Hardy’s character, Harry, orchestrated the conflict between the Stevensons and Harrigans families. The final battle culminated with Harry, Kevin, Paul, Zosia, and Kiko successfully taking out all of Richie’s troops, leading eventually to Richie’s demise, thereby concluding the feud.
However, the Harrigans did not find their promised refuge in MobLand as expected. Instead, the finale of season 1 presented the enigmatic crime lord, Kat McAllister. In episode 10’s closing scene, Harry found himself face-to-face with Kat McAllister to discuss the “obligation” he owed her following her intervention in saving Seraphina Harrigan from the Stevensons.
Kat McAllister told Harry she intended to collect on a debt by getting him to get rid of the last Harrigans and seize control of London’s drug and weapons trade. However, Harry refused due to his loyalty towards the Harrigans. This act set the stage for Kat as the main villain in the upcoming season of MobLand. It appears that this secretive woman is determined to carry out her plan, no matter what.
Instead of being a typical antagonist like Richie was, Kat McAllister portrays a sinister and formidable villain. Her infamous reputation precedes her, and she appears to be exceptionally cunning and resourceful. What makes us eagerly anticipate MobLand season 2 is that not much has been disclosed about the character, leaving plenty of mystery to uncover.
When will MobLand Season 2 come out?
As of now, there’s no set date for the launch of MobLand season 2 as it hasn’t been officially renewed by the producers. However, both Hardy and the creative team are optimistic that the series on Paramount+ will continue for a few more seasons. At this point, an official announcement about its continuation is still pending.
Should MobLand get renewed for a second season soon, we might expect its premiere to happen around the middle of 2026. However, these details are not confirmed as of now.
All the episodes of MobLand season 1 are currently available for streaming on Paramount+.
