Walt Disney Animation Studios has unveiled a fresh new video teaser for the eagerly awaited follow-up to the 2016 hit movie, Moana 2. This highly anticipated animated sequel is set to debut in cinemas on November 27, 2024.

The movie finds Moana and Maui three years on, embarking on a grand voyage with a motley group of sailors. The clip hints at the debut of Matangi, the latest antagonist in the sequel, who is brought to life by Awhimai Fraser. Her goal is to thwart the main character’s mission to restore communication among the ocean’s inhabitants. Before becoming part of Moana 2’s cast, Fraser had previously provided her voice for Elsa and Dolores Madrigal in the Māori versions of Frozen and Encanto.
