Moana 2 Disney+ Release Date Set for Dwayne Johnson Movie’s Streaming Debut

Disney has officially revealed when you can stream Moana 2 on Disney+, their latest animated journey that continues the story from the highly praised 2016 film. Although it got a mix of opinions, it still managed to rake in over $1 billion globally at the box office, placing it among last year’s top money-making movies.

The movie brings Moana and Maui together three years later for a grand, unconventional sea voyage with an unusual crew. A mysterious call from her guiding ancestors sets off a journey across the vast Oceania oceans to unexplored, perilous waters, leading Moana on an adventure unlike any she’s ever experienced before.

When is the Moana 2 Disney+ release date?

The much-anticipated sequel to Moana, titled Moana 2, will make its debut on Disney+ for streaming on March 12th. Unlike the first movie which boasted a Certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, this follow-up received a Tomatometer score of 61%. The talented voice cast includes Auliʻi Cravalho as Moana, Dwayne Johnson as Maui, Temuera Morrison as Tui, Nicole Scherzinger as Sina, Rose Matafeo as Loto, David Fane as Kele, Rachel House as Tala, Alan Tudyk as Heihei, Awhimai Fraser as Matangi, and several others.

David Derrick Jr., Jason Hand, and Dana Ledoux Miller directed Moana 2, which was co-written by Miller and Jared Bush. The movie was overseen by executive producers Jared Bush, Johnson, and Jennifer Lee, who were also involved in the original film directed by Ron Clements and John Musker.
