Mission: Impossible 8, Lilo & Stitch Box Office Could Set a Historic Milestone

According to a recent forecast, the merging of the live-action adaptations of “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning” and “Lilo & Stitch” could result in an unprecedented Memorial Day weekend box office success.

What are Mission: Impossible 8 and Lilo & Stitch’s box office predictions?

As I eagerly anticipate the upcoming premieres later this month, I’m excited to share some projections based on a recent report from Deadline. It seems that together, Mission: Impossible and Lilo & Stitch are expected to rake in an impressive $200 million at the box office! Mission: Impossible is projected to snag around $80 million during its opening weekend, while Lilo & Stitch is estimated to make a whopping $120 million during its holiday release. Can’t wait to see these numbers become reality!

Even though the two movies together accumulated quite a high sum, they would need to make significant progress if they aimed to surpass the record-breaking Memorial Day weekend set by Fast & Furious 6 and The Hangover Part III back in 2013. Those films jointly earned an impressive $314 million upon their release.

Tom Cruise, playing in The Final Reckoning, has already etched his name into the annals of Memorial Day weekend box office records. In 2022, his movie Top Gun: Maverick achieved the highest single-film opening over Memorial Day weekend ever ($160 million).

2025 Release Dates: Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning and Lilo & Stitch are scheduled for release on May 23rd. In just two weeks, the world will get its first look at Mission: Impossible as it kicks off at the illustrious Cannes Film Festival on May 14th.
