As a passionate fan of Korean dramas, I am thrilled to see two amazing K-dramas, Miss Night and Day and The Whirlwind, making it to the Netflix Global Top 10 (Non-English) list for the first week of July 2024. This is an incredible achievement for these shows that have captivated audiences from all over the world with their unique storylines and exceptional performances.
K-dramas “Miss Night and Day” and “The Whirlwind” have made it to Netflix’s global top 10 list for non-English shows. These limited series achieved this ranking during the first week of July 2024. Noteworthy, “The Whirlwind” has already concluded its run, whereas “Miss Night and Day” is still being broadcasted.
As a dedicated fan, I’m always excited to discover new Korean movies and dramas on Netflix. In late June 2024, one of my favorites, “Hierarchy,” made it to the Netflix Global Top 10 list. Now, Netflix has revealed the rankings for the shows that gained the most views from July 1, 2024, to July 7, 2024. This week, “Hierarchy” managed to draw in an impressive 1.7 million viewers, while another political K-drama series garnered a staggering 1.8 million views.
Netflix Global Top 10 (Non-English): Miss Night and Day & The Whirlwind ranks revealed
During the first week of July 2024, The Whirlwind placed fourth among the top 10 non-English shows on Netflix globally. At the same time, Miss Night and Day secured the seventh position. These two popular K-dramas belong to distinct genres and feature captivatingly different storylines.
As a longtime fan of Korean dramas, I’ve seen my fair share of political power struggles and suspenseful plots. But none have captivated me quite like “The Whirlwind.” This gripping series, which aired all 12 episodes on June 28, 2024, follows the intense clash between the prime minister and deputy prime minister that unfolds in the wake of the president’s assassination attempt.
Simultaneously, “Miss Night and Day,” a captivating South Korean drama, debuted on June 15, 2024. This engaging series boasts Choi Jin-Hyuk, Jung Eun-Ji, and Lee Jung-Eun in pivotal roles. The intriguing narrative centers around a woman in her twenties who undergoes an astonishing transformation into her fifties during the daytime hours. Miraculously, she reverts back to her youthful self once night falls.
Instead of just mentioning Korean dramas, the Netflix Global Top 10 (Non-English) features a variety of other shows as well. Some of these are “Gangs of Galicia,” “A Body that Works,” “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hashira Training Arc,” “Desperate Lies,” “Ólòtūré: The Journey,” “The Turkish Passion,” “Rhythm + Flow France season 3,” and “Dear Child.”
