Actress Millie Bobby Brown, known for Stranger Things and Damsel, is working on a movie version of her popular first book titled Nineteen Steps. She intends to produce this project through her own production company (PCMA) on Netflix, with plans for herself to also appear in the film.
acclaimed screenwriter Anthony McCarten (famed for penning The Theory of Everything, Darkest Hour, and The Two Popes) is set to craft the movie’s script. Producer Jonathan Eirich will oversee the project, while Nick Reynolds serves as the executive producer.
What is Nineteen Steps about?
19 Steps, written jointly by Brown and Kathleen McGurl, carries a strong influence from Brown’s family history during World War II, notably her grandmother Ruth, who survived the tragic Bethnal Green tube station incident of the 1940s. This captivating novel was released for public consumption by William Morrow in the year 2023.

Actress Millie Bobby Brown, known for her roles in Once Upon a Time in Wonderland and Intruders, gained significant popularity by portraying Eleven on Netflix’s successful show Stranger Things. This series is set to conclude with its fifth and final season, expected in 2025. Additionally, she played Madison Russell in Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) and later reappeared as the character in Godzilla vs. Kong (2021).
