Miley Cyrus comes clean about how Dolly Parton felt about her previous album

It’s quite lively having Dolly Parton as your godmother. Not only is she a renowned musician, but her business acumen is also remarkable. Her creation, the Dollywood theme park, may initially appear as a jest, yet it offers thrilling roller coasters in reality. Dolly Parton certainly doesn’t mess around.

Miley Cyrus, who is Dolly’s goddaughter, has made a name for herself independently, and this isn’t a new development in her career. Initially starting out on the TV show Hannah Montana, which seemed like a gimmick given her famous father (Billy Ray Cyrus), Miley demonstrated her raw talent. Throughout her music journey, she has achieved 13 top-10 singles.

But when Dolly speaks, Cyrus still must listen.

Dolly Parton advises Miley Cyrus to try a different marketing approach

During a conversation with Apple Music, Miley Cyrus shared that Dolly Parton wasn’t particularly fond of the marketing strategy for her upcoming album in 2023, “Endless Summer Vacation”. It appears that Cyrus’s frequent use of bikinis was a bit too much for Parton’s taste. On a 45-minute drive from Cyrus’s home to Parton’s, the latter expressed her genuine feelings to Cyrus about this matter.

Cyrus stated, “She said every day it’s another bikini photo of you, but what’s next for marketing? I replied that I’m currently focusing on something else. We’ve already completed the project, and she responded saying that wasn’t how projects are handled.

It’s tough to take a stance against either woman, as they both seem to know what suits their professional paths well. Dolly prefers not to don a bikini, as it doesn’t align with her personal style. Miley isn’t shy about revealing more skin. Essentially, they have distinct strategies for achieving success in the same field.

Cyrus was conversing with Apple about promoting her upcoming album, titled “Something Beautiful,” which drops on May 30th. This time around, the album is expected to deviate from her past work, incorporating more experimentation and psychedelic elements. Fewer singles might be released, but the quality of the entire album could potentially improve.

It’s unclear how Dolly feels about the new album, but it seems like Miley Cyrus may have taken Dolly’s advice, as there have been fewer recent photos of her in a bikini. However, if the album doesn’t perform well, she might revert back to her previous marketing strategy.
