Mike Flanagan’s Hush Sets Theatrical Release Date, Features Q&A

As a longtime horror enthusiast who’s seen my fair share of jump scares and spine-tingling suspense, I couldn’t be more thrilled about the upcoming theatrical release of Mike Flanagan’s masterpiece, Hush. Having missed out on this gem during its initial release in 2016, I can hardly contain my excitement to finally witness it on the big screen.

The theatrical release date for Hush has finally been set.

For the first time in the US, Shout! Studios is set to premiere Mike Flanagan’s critically-lauded horror thriller on the big screen. This announcement comes after the news that a 4K and Blu-ray collector’s edition of the film will be released on November 26th. In partnership with Flanagan, Trevor Macy’s Intrepid Pictures, and Blumhouse, Shout! Studios is making it possible to experience this invasion thriller in a theater near you.

Originally lauded by critics when it premiered in 2016, the movie “Hush” is now completely restored for its U.S. theatrical premiere. Following the screening at Vidiots in Eagle Rock, California, there will be a Q&A session with the esteemed writer, director, and co-writer of the film, Kate Siegel, as well as the lead actress herself. This event will be streamed live to cinemas across the country.

When is the Hush theatrical release date?

Quietly, the chilling horror-thriller “Hush” is set to make its way onto US theater screens starting on October 16, at 6:30 pm Pacific Time (9:30 pm Eastern Time). According to the plot summary, “Hush” revolves around a deaf writer who secludes herself in the woods. Her peaceful existence is shattered when a masked killer appears at her window, forcing her to fight for survival in complete silence.

Alongside Siegel, John Gallagher Jr. (known for 10 Cloverfield Lane), Samantha Sloyan (familiar from Grey’s Anatomy), and Michael Trucco (notable in The Fall of the House of Usher) were also part of the cast.

Flanagan has gained significant recognition for his movie projects such as Oculus, Before I Wake, Ouija: Origin of Evil, Gerald’s Game, and Doctor Sleep. Additionally, he has earned praise for his television work, which includes The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor, Midnight Mass, The Midnight Club, and an adaptation of The Fall of the House of Usher.

Hush hits US theaters for the first time on October 16.
