Lionsgate recently provided fresh information regarding the release date for the Michael Jackson film following the postponement at CinemaCon where many were eagerly awaiting news. This movie project, in development since 2019, has Jaafar Jackson cast as Michael Jackson, the legendary artist.

What is the new release date window for the Michael Jackson movie?

Initially, the Michael Jackson movie was planned for a theatrical release on October 3, 2025. However, Lionsgate appears to have chosen to postpone the biographical drama, moving its release to 2026. Moreover, studio executive Jon Feltheimer has hinted that the film could run for approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes in total. As of now, there’s no confirmation if the movie will be divided into two parts as was previously speculated.
