What is Dexter: Resurrection about?
The specifics about Dexter: Resurrection are yet to be revealed, but it’s anticipated to serve as a continuation directly following Dexter: New Blood. Michael C. Hall will reprise his role as Dexter, and the series, taking place in the current era, will resume after the blood-soaked events of Dexter: New Blood. A release date for 2025 has been suggested.
In Dexter: Resurrection, we can expect the reappearance of David Zayas as Angel Batista and James Remar as Harry Morgan. Additionally, Jack Alcott, who made his debut in Dexter: New Blood, will join the cast as Dexter’s son, Harrison Morgan.
Initially, Hall portrayed the title character, a serial killer named Dexter, in Showtime’s Dexter back in 2006. This show ran for eight seasons until 2013. More recently, he returned to the famous role in the limited series titled Dexter: New Blood, which was a continuation of the original series and premiered in 2021.
In the following stages, the franchise grew by introducing a prequel series titled “Dexter: Original Sin.” This series focuses on Dexter Morgan’s earlier phases in life when he was a fresh forensic intern as a serial killer. The cast includes Patrick Gibson portraying the young Dexter Morgan, Christian Slater playing Harry Morgan, Molly Brown as Debra, Christina Milian as María, James Martinez as Angel Batista, and Patrick Dempsey as Aaron. Hall serves as the narrator while providing the inner voice for the young Dexter.
