During her chat at the Netflix TUDUM 2025 red carpet event, she hinted that viewers would find both familiarity and novelty in this retelling of the classic tale. She went on to say, “I believe audiences will be captivated by its epic grandeur, and the sheer size of it is truly impressive. However, I think they’ll also be deeply touched by it and perhaps taken aback by the tender emotions poured into this film. It’s a labor of love for Guillermo.
Goth expressed her admiration for her co-star, Jacob Elordi’s metamorphosis as he portrayed the role of Frankenstein’s monster. In an interview, the MaXXXine actress exclaimed she was “completely astounded” and “simply awestruck.
For some time now, discussions about Guillermo del Toro’s take on Frankenstein have been circulating. Back in 2007, it was said that del Toro expressed his strong desire to bring to life a faithful adaptation of Frankenstein, describing it as a “Miltonian tragedy.” This project eventually found a suitable platform at Netflix.
Alongside Oscar Isaac, who portrays Victor Frankenstein, we have Christoph Waltz taking on a significant role. The premiere of this production is set for Netflix in November 2025.
