Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater may be coming in August, according to a PSN leak

The anticipated remake of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, by Konami, seems to be on its way, with many speculating a 2025 release. Yet, it appears that the PlayStation Network listing for the game might have prematurely disclosed its arrival date. Recently, promotional content was posted for the game, featuring an updated Snake vs. Monkey mode, but also hinting at a release date in August 2025.

Information about an alleged upcoming release of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater on August 28, 2025, surfaced across various sources, with Wario64 being one of them. Upon discovery, the related content was promptly removed from the PlayStation Store and is now unavailable. Despite this sudden removal, the leaked material hints at a possible release date for the PS5 version, although it remains uncertain if the same date applies to other platforms as well. The fact that the date appeared on the official PSN page prior to its disappearance suggests that the August 28, 2025, date may be valid for the PS5’s launch of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.

On August 28th, Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater – Delta is set to launch on PlayStation Network. The fan-favorite “Snake vs Monkey” mode makes a return, with additional content promised. Additionally, a Digital Deluxe Edition will also be available for purchase. Fans have eagerly awaited Konami’s remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and their excitement has grown since they played an early demo at Tokyo Game Show 2024. The game looks promising in its initial preview build, offering a chance to carry out the initial infiltration and the attempt to rescue Dr. Sokolov from enemy captivity. The controls feel smooth, and the cutscenes closely resemble those of the original, for better or worse. It’s amusing to note that Snake vs. Monkey mode, where players must catch monkeys from Ape Escape in the jungles of Snake Eater, is also coming back.

As a devoted fan, I’m eagerly waiting for Konami to announce the release date and the highly-anticipated Snake vs. Monkey mode in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. Until then, I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for any official updates on this topic right here at Shacknews. Stay tuned!
