The team responsible for co-developing Konami’s upcoming Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater remake is launching a new studio in Korea for future partnerships. Known for their work on numerous AAA games, Virtuos has contributed significantly to many popular and large-scale titles.
Known primarily for their latest projects like Cyberpunk 2077, Metal Gear Solid Delta, and Stellar Blade, this support studio has now decided to expand by establishing a new studio, aiming to further escalate their global game development endeavors.
In a recent announcement, it’s been disclosed that the secret strength behind many top-tier games is expanding its presence with a new studio based in Seoul. Following more than 15 years of collaboration on Korean game development with other creators, Virtuos Seoul has been established to build upon this enduring partnership.
Beginning in 2009, Virtuos has formed collaborative relationships with more than half of the top 10 game development studios in Korea. These partnerships have resulted in successful projects like Crossfire, Dave the Diver, PUBG, and Stellar Blade. Now, Virtuos Seoul will strengthen this alliance by boosting creative and design services, serving as a bridge between Korean clients and Virtuos’ global game development studios.
Although Virtuos may not be the primary developer of popular AAA titles such as Metal Gear Solid Delta or Stellar Blade, they contribute significantly to many games you enjoy. Their support studios handle a vast amount of work on numerous games, making it essential that they receive recognition from time to time.
The planned launch date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is August 28, 2025. This remake will be available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5. It’s a highly accurate recreation of the 2004 PlayStation 2 original, originally developed by Hideo Kojima. Notably, it can also be played within the updated Master Collection.
