To add to their frustration, the Production Hotline series – which serves as a connection between the developers and fans, delivering updates on Delta’s progress – has not released a new episode in several months.
Where is Metal Gear Solid Delta?
Despite the lack of official updates, there has been some buzz about Konami regarding the development of Metal Gear Solid Delta. In an interview with 4Gamer, Metal Gear Solid Delta’s producer Noriaki Okamura expressed his main goal for 2025 as follows: “Our primary objective is to create a high-quality product out of Metal Gear Solid Delta and deliver it to our dedicated fans.
As a passionate fan, I’ve been eagerly waiting for any updates about the upcoming game, and it seems that we might be getting closer to the release! Okamura has hinted earlier that the game is playable from start to finish, implying it’s in its final stages of refinement. With the impressive console demos shown during Gamescom 2024, where the game ran flawlessly, I can only anticipate that we’re nearly there! The release date may not be official yet, but the strong performance and polished gameplay give me high hopes for a soon-to-be-announced release.

METAL GEAR SOLID DELTA PRODUCER NORIAKI OKAMURA
It’s no surprise that Metal Gear Solid (MGS) enthusiasts have become restless due to the prolonged silence about the release of Delta. During the final months of last year at the Tokyo Games Show, Okamura apologized for not providing a specific release date, even though they did disclose several gameplay details such as new Codec and camouflage configurations, and the reappearance of Phantom Pain mechanics.
Okamura asked fans to be patient as the developers are hesitant to set a release date they might not meet, hinting at MGS Delta’s potential arrival within the initial part of this year, though this timing remains uncertain and is based on conjecture.
It’s anticipated that the game “Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater” will be available on PC, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5 in the year 2025.
