Metal Gear Solid 4 remaster massively hinted at by Konami

As a dedicated gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and apprehension at Konami’s hints about a potential Metal Gear Solid 4 remaster. The original release of MGS4 on PS3 was a defining moment in my gaming journey, and the thought of experiencing it again, perhaps this time with improved graphics and gameplay, is tantalizing.

It appears that Hideo Kojima’s hit game Metal Gear Solid 4 from PlayStation 3 might be leaving Sony’s old platform soon. Nearly twenty years after its initial release, Konami seems to be suggesting that a revamped version of Metal Gear Solid 4 could be on the horizon.

Konami teases Metal Gear Solid 4 remaster 

As the launch date for Metal Gear Solid 3: Delta draws near, Konami is eagerly planning to expand and capitalize on their renowned stealth game series. Since the drop of Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1, Konami has been subtly suggesting a sequel might be in the works.

Although this collection boasts a vast array of titles, it’s important to note that it does not feature Metal Gear Solid 4, Metal Gear Solid 5, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker at the moment. However, there are rumors circulating that Konami might be planning to re-release these games as remasters in a second Master Collection, but this has yet to be officially confirmed.

According to a chat with IGN, Konami’s producer Noriaki Okamura hinted at the development of a remastered version of Metal Gear Solid 4. Yet, it’s important to note that no official announcement has been made regarding this matter.

Konami is concerned about Metal Gear 

Although the Master Collection has been selling well, Okamura clarified that Konami remains undecided about the future direction for the Metal Gear series as a complete entity.

Instead of remakes and remasters, it’s questionable whether creating a new game without Hideo Kojama would yield the same success.
