As a die-hard wrestling fan with years of experience under my belt, I’ve seen it all – from legendary giants to rising stars. The rumors swirling around Shane McMahon potentially joining AEW have me on the edge of my seat!
As a fervent admirer, I can’t help but share my thoughts on the buzzing rumors about Shane McMahon potentially joining AEW. A while back, whispers of a clandestine meeting between Tony Khan and McMahon surfaced, hinting at potential collaborations.
Last week, whispers grew stronger that Shane McMahon might be joining AEW, as The Young Bucks shared a picture of them together at the airport. Moreover, fueling speculation, McMahon had an encounter with Mone at LaGuardia Airport in New York following the AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door event in June.

In simpler terms, Mone explained that she ran into McMahon at the airport on the very day she earned a double title. This unexpected run-in sparked a short chat, ending with McMahon providing his contact info. This chance encounter has stirred up some gossip. Despite the whispers, Mone offered her perspective on whether McMahon might join AEW in the future.
Mercedes Mone on Shane McMahon in AEW: “I’m here for it”
Mercedes Mone, the current AEW TBS and NJPW Strong Women’s Champion, recently spoke about the rumors surrounding Shane McMahon possibly joining AEW in her latest newsletter. She expressed her high regard for McMahon’s enthusiasm towards wrestling, suggesting that he may have some unresolved matters within the industry. Moreover, she subtly hinted at his potential arrival to AEW, stating that it would be a beneficial move for the roster if he were to join.
The newsletter implied, “Shane’s remarkable devotion and love for wrestling suggest there are more tasks on his plate. It also sparks speculation that he might join AEW. I’m eager to witness this, and I believe our team feels the same.
Later on, Mone discussed McMahon’s connection to the wrestling industry, expressing that if he doesn’t return to wrestling, it would bring her sorrow because “it would be a shame for him if he’s not part of something he clearly cherishes.” She added, “I understand the pain of being separated from what you deeply care about, and I believe he feels similarly.
Mercedes Monè expresses her desire to witness Shane McMahon in AEW, as his dedication and love for wrestling suggest that he may have some lingering matters. This thought also arises from the question: could Shane be joining AEW? I’m excited at the prospect, and I believe our roster feels the same way.
