As per a report by Deadline, it’s been announced that actors from series such as 13 Reasons Why, In the Heights, City on a Hill, and The Affair will lend their skills to the upcoming action thriller airing on Peacock.
In the James Wan project, Melissa Barrera will play Michelle, Brian d’Arcy James takes on John Moira, Sinclair Daniel assumes the position of an intelligence officer, Parker is cast as a character whose name isn’t specified yet, Kathleen Chalfant is St. George, and Mark O’Brien plays an intelligence agent named Cobb. Simu Liu will portray Alexander Hale, an American intelligence analyst in this role.
Furthermore, Thomas Brandon serves as both the writer and showrunner for the production, with Jennifer Yale joining him in these roles. James Wan and Rob Hackett, renowned producer of the horror movie “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” have been announced as executive producers.
According to Variety, Peacock unveiled the official summary of the show during its announcement in February. It reads: “In just five minutes from now, a first-generation American intelligence analyst named Alexander Hale (played by Liu) discovers that his mind has been invaded, enabling the hackers to view and hear everything he experiences. Balancing between his secretive agency and these mysterious hackers, Hale must consistently put up a facade to unmask the culprits and demonstrate where his loyalty truly lies.
According to reports, Peacock hasn’t disclosed any specific timeline for the release of the Simu Liu movie as of now.
